THE NEW GALATZÓ RESIDENTIAL AREA PLAYGROUND IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
The new Galatzó residential area children's park, located at the Francisca Revert square, in front of the Galatzó sports centre, is now open to the public.
The new park has a playing area bounded by a perimeter fence, covered in its entirety (400 m2) with a bump shock absorbing rubber pavement. Three different games have been installed: a hexagonal swing, an asterope type swing and a central game for smaller children with a slide and other elements. They have been installed taking into account the accessibility for children with reduced mobility.
Benches have also been placed within the playground's perimeter, and the lighting has been improved with the installation of a new 8 metre-high pillars with two LED technology lighting projectors.
The square in which the playground has been built is a large space that is located directly opposite the Galatzó sports centre, and in which social premises are also located, such as the municipal library or the residential area's senior citizens centre.
