Challenge Peguera Mallorca 2019

Monday, 30th of september 2019

CHALLENGE PEGUERA MALLORCA "FULLY BOOKED" WITH 1.100 TRIATHLETES

Less than a month to go before Challenge Peguera Mallorca middle distance triathlon takes place, and registrations for the third consecutive year are SOLD OUT. The organisation had put out 1100 places for sale. This confirms the good acceptance of the event and its consolidation as one of the best triathlons for the end of the season in Europe.

Pro field, who will win?

The main race presents an amazing pro field, maybe the best of all the editions.

At the women's pro field seems that the battle for the CHMALLORCA19 throne will be between Radka Kahlefeldt (CZE) the current favourite to win the chfamily ranking 2019, Fenella Langridge (UK) who wants to repeat her great swim and bike performance of the past year race, improving the run performance to be on the first step of the podium. And last but not least, the CHMALLORCA 2017 winner, the Spanish Judith Corachan.

At men's pro field, some of the favourites are these: the Spanish Pablo Dapena wants to repeat his last year result, challenge Mallorca champion 2018. But he is not the only one with the idea to repeat victory, the 2016 ChMallorca champion, Pieter Heemeryck (BEL) is in a good shape to be the first pro winning two ChMallorca. The third invitation to this party is for Ruedi Wild (CH), he will come to Mallorca with the aim of being the first Swiss to win CHMALLORCA.

The most international event

Challenge Peguera Mallorca gathers in Calvià a large number of international triathletes who pursue a double goal: close the 2019 triathlon season in a quality competition, and enjoy a few days of vacation in Mallorca. Triathletes from Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, New Zeland, Italy, Brazil, Slovakia, Japan... will take part in Challenge Peguera Mallorca. In total, 37 different nationalities will be running in the event. 87% of athletes are foreigners, amongst which, 27% are Germans and 26% British.

Global experience

A wide range of activities are planned around the race. Challenge Peguera Mallorca wants to provide a global experience that goes beyond hosting the best triathlon event. That is why there is a programme of parallel activities, such as a special Challenge race for children, parties, 'Nit de Foc', concerts, markets and other surprises, to ensure that triathletes and their companions make the most of their stay.
