CALVIÀ COMMEMORATES INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY
The Youth Talent Show was held on Thursday with performances by young local talents
Calvià Town Hall, through the Youth Department, has organised various activities to commemorate 12th August, International Youth Day.
The exterior of Es Generador youth building hosted on Thursday, the Youth Talent Show, with performances by young local talents. Pop, Indie, Rock, DJ, instrumental exhibitions, Rap, poetic recitals and dance, have been the artistic disciplines with which the young people of Calvià participated.
The deputy mayor for Youth and Citizen Participation, Marga Plomer, expressed her gratitude to the youth of the municipality that is participating these days in the different activities organised, especially in such an atypical situation. Plomer encouraged them to continue enjoying the rest of the Youth Week activities, such as the gathering with young people from Campanet and the Youth Debate that will take place today, or the excursion to La Trapa with the Night of the Perseids and the cinema session that has been organised for tomorrow Saturday.
Plomer has pointed out that "We have tried to organise activities that were mainly outdoors, such as an outing to the beach and the Night of the Perseids, because they deserve to recover normality little by little, although with all the security measures and with the responsibility that our youths show us. The young people of our municipality have had a very bad time during the pandemic, and from the Youth Service we want them to know that they have our full support and that we are working so that they can see their needs met. "
International Youth Day in Calvià has been aimed at young people between 12 and 30 years old, with free activities.
