Municipal land plot transfer for 24 OPH agreement

CALVIÀ TOWN HALL TRANSFERS THE IBAVI A LAND PLOT IN PEGUERA FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 24 OFFICIALLY PROTECTED HOUSING

With these homes, in Calvià there are about 300 OPH of public or private promotion underway

The mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, and the regional minister for Mobility and Housing, Josep Marí, have signed this morning a protocol for the transfer of land to build public housing in the municipality. It is a development of 24 homes for lease, which will be built by IBAVI on the site assigned by the Town Hall that is located at 2 Bonavida St., in Peguera with an area of 5.850,70 m2.

On behalf of the Town Hall, the event was also attended by the deputy mayor for Housing, Nati Francés; the councillor for Peguera, Olga Granados, and the general director for Housing, Eduard Vila. On behalf of the regional ministry, the event was attended by the general director of Housing, Cristina Ballester, and the manageress of IBAVI, Olvido Terrassa.

At the moment, work is being done on the contracting of the project that foresees the construction of 24 public housing units, 2 of which will be adapted.

The planned budget for this promotion is 5.152.072,09 euros (VAT included).

In this legislature, in Calvià, an important boost is being given to the construction of public housing. Currently 48 OPH are under construction in Magaluf (24 financed by the Town Hall and 24 financed by the Govern); in the same place there are up to 39 privately-built housing units tendered by IBAVI. 99 officially protected homes are built entirely by Calvià Town Hall in Santa Ponça and 75 private promotion OPH will be built in the Magaluf Marina. In total, about 300 protected homes.
