The activities of this department are based on developing initiatives and programmes in order to improve our municipal services, offering high quality services to meet the needs of our residents.
Included in said activities are the introduction of quality management systems and organising letters of introduction from different areas of municipal management.
Introduction of the Quality Management System for our Tourist Resorts.
In June 2001 the Town Hall launched a full management system for Calvia's beaches, which in total covers 14 different areas and coordinates all of the beach activities on the coast of Calvia, thus endeavoring the placement of Calvia's beaches amongst the best in the Balearic Islands.
Since then, various initiatives have been developed therefore allowing the introduction of the full management certificate to be approved by the Spanish Institute of Quality Tourism.
Q for Quality Management of the Tourist Information Offices.
Calvia Town Hall are keen to improve the services of the Tourist Information Offices and by using the standards set by the Q Certificate to improve the services in the five tourist information offices based in the Calvia area. Since May they have worked very closely with important hotel and restaurant associations in the seven areas of Calvia , creating a brand new image in the design, lighting and furniture creating more benefits in the municipality.
This situation has permitted Calvia to be the first Municipality to have received this Certificate, making them very proud and is a deserved recognition for their staff, and to have been able to improve the services that they provide to their visitors.
