CALVIÀ CELEBRATES A VIRTUAL BOOK'S DAY WITH A VIDEOGAME DESIGNED BY EASYROBOTICS AND ILLUSTRATOR ÀLEX FITO
The municipality, Sant Jordi, the princess and the Dragon are the main characters
For the second consecutive year, Calvià Town Hall, through the Department of Libraries of the IMEB (Municipal Institute of Education and Libraries), celebrates an online Book's Day in which participation and interaction is encouraged with the activities that are proposed, which are focused on a videogame focused on the theme of Sant Jordi's Day and designed by illustrator Àlex Fito, with the collaboration of EasyRobotics.
This is a fun videogame with retro aesthetics in which participants will take a tour through the municipality where they will find the typical blue tents, the bookstores editorial novelties, authors and authoresses presenting their books, a repository of free download titles, comic and children's workshops and the latest collections published by the Town Hall, amongst many other activities. To participate, you must choose an avatar, Sant Jordi or the princess, who will have to escape from the Dragon's persecution.
Book's Day 2021 has been combined this year with some face-to-face activities, with reduced capacity.
The videogame will be accessible on 23rd and 24th April through the Libraries website: www.bibliotequesdecalvia.com, and information about the various activities will also be provided through Calvià Libraries facebook (facebook.com/BibliotequesdeCalvia).
