Tourism: discover Calvią all year round

Programme of FREE activities for tourists staying at registered holidays accomodation in Calvià. April 2024

Relax on our beaches, enjoy our cuisine, live with our people, stroll along our archaeological memory ... We put all the tourism potential of Calvià at the disposal of our neighbours and visitors so they can enjoy us all year round.

How do we you get you to want to visit us?
We work every day in the department of Tourism to help make the most of Calvià and get you to want to return. Our priority is to combine the tourist level that we have achieved in recent years with a sustainable, ecological and responsible management. So we can all enjoy today, and continue to enjoy tomorrow.

Calvià tourism figures
Our municipality is the tourism leader of Mallorca: our 60,000 hotel beds constitute 21% of the accommodation on the island, and maintain this offer at a high quality level is a big responsibility for the Town Council, Hotel Associations and business owners, and all our partner institutions.

We want to be leaders also in sustainable, accessible, responsible tourism with the environment and with our neighbours. We work to promote the role of Calvià as a holiday destination and for short breaks all year, transversely with the departments of Environment, Heritage, Mobility, Sport and also the Balearic Islands Government, as well as private entities that have chosen us to grow.

We want Calvià to be the preferred destination for families with young children, senior citizens, of any traveler regardless of their abilities. We want to enjoy our beaches, the Sierra Tramuntana, the richness of our wildlife and our fields, and the beauty of our heritage.

How do we do our work?
Our department works all technical aspects with our team in the Town Hall building. In addition, our tourist informants work in four tourist offices: Palmanova, Magaluf, Santa Ponça and Peguera, all of them recognized with the Q of tourist quality.

We also work to promote sustainable tourism in our town in trade fairs and tourism conventions through marketing and recruitment campaigns, with associations and tour operators, and promoting activities and meetings, very especially in sport tourism.

We travel to events in the countries of origin of our potential visitors, we attend conferences and we continually train to be aware of the trends that may be most convenient for our town, our neighbours and our businesses.

 What to see in Calvià?
More than 30 beaches and coves in the areas of Illetes, Magaluf, Santa Ponsa, Peguera and Portals Nous, some of them with Blue Flag and with the Q of tourist quality. Hiking and bicycle short and long trails in the Sierra Tramuntana. Golf, outdoor sports and diving. Ornithological and archaeological routes.
