Wednesday, 15th May 2024

SOCIAL COMMITMENT OF THE TOURISM SECTOR AND RESIDENTS: 130 FAMILIES FROM SANTA PONÇA WILL ENJOY A FREE DAY AT PIRATES VILLAGE

400 people linked to the two public nurseries will benefit from an initiative promoted by the hotel establishment and the Town Hall

Pirates Village Resort is giving away a day pass this summer to each of the 130 families who use the two public nurseries located in Santa Ponça, as well as to the workers at the centres. The invitation includes parents and brothers of children who attend the nurseries. In this way, up to 400 people will be able to enjoy one day of the theme hotel facilities, which will include lunch.

Christian Roses, president of the Santa Ponça Hotel Association and owner of Pirates Village Resort, announced this Wednesday, coinciding with the International Day of Families, the invitation for users and workers of the area's public nurseries.

This initiative arises from the agreement between Roses and the Mayor of the municipality, Juan Antonio Amengual, to promote the social commitment of the tourism sector. The aim is to bring tourism closer to residents, "so that they feel it as something of their own, as part of our society," said the Mayor.

On his behalf, Roses has highlighted the desire to build bridges between the tourism sector and its environment with an initiative that he hopes to extend to others of a similar nature. The president of the Santa Ponça hoteliers is committed to "redoubling the sector's involvement for the benefit of the community."

The Deputy Mayor responsible for Education, Isabel Bonet, and manager of the IMEB (Municipal Institute of Education and Libraries) Néstor García-Muñoz, met at the Pirates Village Resort with Roses and part of the hotel's team of workers. Bonet has assessed that "initiatives like this benefit the residents and demonstrate that this is a municipality in which the economic activity derived from tourism and citizenship are fully compatible."
