The Galatzó pavilion gym's air conditioning, which had been broken for 3 years, is now repaired
Calvià Town Hall activates the maintenance and improvement plan for the municipality's sports facilities
Calvià Town Hall has begun the repair of the deficiencies detected in various municipal sports centres and which - as in the case of the Galatzó pavilion - had been without any intervention for more than three years. The multipurpose room and the gym have remained without air conditioning throughout this time, which made their use in summer almost impossible due to the high temperatures.
Javier Tascón, deputy mayor responsible for Sports, has visited the facilities to know first-hand the users' feedback, which he described as "very positive": "after more than three years broken, users were demanding from us that it was repaired. In summer, the conditions were not viable for practicing sports. "In addition, the multipurpose room is used by adults who could not withstand the high summer temperatures either."
In the same way, action has been taken in the Peguera gym, where the air conditioning has also been repaired. He explained that these and other actions already underway are included in a municipal plan for the maintenance and improvement of sports facilities. Tascón has pointed out that these are "essential actions to offer residents the services' quality they deserve."
