El Toro summer festivities 2023

Programme:
Tuesday 8th August 2023
• 6 to 9:30 p.m. Streets embellishment and banner placement.
Wednesday 9th August 2023
• 4:30 p.m. Petanque championship: It will take place as every year on the petanque courts located on Neptuno St. (next to the church). Registration will take place on the same day from 4 p.m. Ends at 8:30 p.m.
• 5 p.m. Ping Pong championship: Sports activity held at the church premises (Neptuno St.) with registration on the same day from 4:30 p.m. Ends at 8:30 p.m.
Thursday 10th August 2023:
• 9 a.m. Basketball championship: Sports activity that will take place on the Ctra. El Toro Ctra. Santa Ponça court. Ends at 9:30 p.m. This activity is carried out with a schedule divided into 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
• 5 p.m. Five-a-side football championship: Sports activity that will take place on the Ctra. El Toro Ctra. Santa Ponça pitch. Registration will take place on the same day from 4:30 p.m. Ends at 8:30 p.m.
Friday 11th August 2023
• 9 a.m. Five-a-side football and basketball finals and trophies ceremony: It will take place on the Ctra. El Toro Ctra. Santa Ponça pitch/court. Ends at 1 p.m.
• 7 p.m. El Toro Senior Citizens tribute dinner: Dinner for over 65s and couples residing in El Toro. It will be held in Plaza Europa. Registration at the neighbourhood association premises. On this occasion, a table number will be given when registering for better organisation. Ends 3 a.m. Bar service available.
• 7 p.m. Screening of the history of the AAVV El Toro since 1975: A compilation of images of the association's history from 1975 to 2023 has been made.
• 8 to 9 p.m. Petanque awards ceremony and Tribute to three members: Petanque prizes will be awarded and a tribute to the oldest members will be made.
• 10 p.m. Musical performance: Performance by the Woody Band group. Ends at 2:30 a.m.
• 2.30 a.m. Music and dance: To end the evening there will be music so that attendees can dance. Ends at 3 a.m.
Bar service available in all activities in Plaza Europa.
Saturday 12th August 2023
• 7 p.m. Parade: Children's activity. The parade inspired by the San Fermines, will begin at Plaza del Mediodía 3 (in the cultural centre) and will continue along Avenida del Mar and Gran Vía. It will end in Plaza Europa. This activity is aimed at all audiences and ends at 8 p.m.
• 8:30 p.m. Greeting and proclamation: To officially start El Toro 2023 festivities, greeting and reading of the festivities proclamation will take place in Plaza Europa. Ends at 9 p.m.
• 9 p.m. Musical performances: Performance by the artist Tesorito de la Isla. Ends at 10:15 p.m. approx.
• 10:30 p.m. Musical performance: Performance by the musical group Fenómenos Band. Ends at 11:45 p.m.
• 12 a.m. Young night: Neon party with the Dj Loreto performance. Ends at 2 a.m.
• 2 a.m. Music and dance: Music in Plaza Europa to close the party. Ends at 4:30 a.m.

Sunday 13th August 2023:
• 5:30 p.m. Water Festival: Afternoon focused on the little ones with water slides and entertainment. Ends at 7:30 p.m.
• 8:30 p.m. Children's Foam: Foam party designed especially for the little ones. It will be held in Plaza Europa. Ends at 10 p.m.
• 10 p.m. Adult Foam: The traditional foam party. We will have a Bar service. The activity will take place in Plaza Europa. Ends at 11 p.m.
• 11 p.m. Music and dance: In Plaza Europa. Ends at 2:30 a.m.
Bar service available in all activities in Plaza Europa.
Monday 14th August 2023
• 11 a.m. Cycling tour: Departure from El Toro at 11 a.m. (gathering at Bar Can Pulga). Route for minors up to the Son Ferrer picnic area and Adults up to Sa Porrasa plant nursery (it is essential to wear a helmet). Upon arrival at the destination, a snack will be offered and at the end of the activity, medals will be presented. Ends at 2 p.m.
• 6 p.m. Family race around El Toro (sponsored by Cafeteria Paraíso de J). Ends at 7:30 p.m.
• 9 p.m. Great Verbena: In Plaza Europa. Ends at 5 a.m.
• 9:30 p.m. Neon Party (with the collaboration of the municipal Youth team) Ends at 11:30 p.m.
• 10 p.m. Dj 40 principales classics. Ends at midnight.
• 12 a.m. Musical performance: Pirates pirats ends at 2 a.m.
• 2 a.m. Dj 40 principales. Ends at 4 a.m.
• 4 a.m. Music and Dance. Ends at 5 a.m.
Bar service available in all activities in Plaza Europa.
Tuesday 15th August 2023
• 5 p.m. Ball de bot performance offered by the Boramar group. Ends at 6 p.m.
• 6 p.m. Children's afternoon. The children's afternoon will consist of a drawing contest and a piñata. Ends at 7 p.m.
• 7 p.m. Mass in the parish church: To say goodbye to the festivities, as every year, the mass will take place in the Parish church of El Toro. There will also be a floral tribute to the Virgin of El Toro. Ends at 7:45 p.m.
• 7:45 p.m. Procession from the church, passing through Gran Vía to the viewpoint in front of Plaza Europa. Enlivened by the Son Ferrer brotherhood band. Ends at 8:30 p.m. (We suggest peasant clothing).
• 8:30 p.m. Refreshment in Plaza Europa. The activity ends at 9:30 p.m.
• 9:30 p.m. End of party procession: Departure from Plaza Europa to Plaza Mediodía (same route as the procession to start the festivities in reverse). Enlivened with a batucada (drums).
