The SOIB Reactiva 2020 programme ends

Calvià, 19th August 2021

The SOIB Reactiva 2020 programme, which has offered work to 106 unemployed people, ends

Calvià Town Hall, through the Calvià Training and Employment Institute (IFOC) and all its public bodies (Calvià 2000, Municipal Tax Office, IMEB and the Senior Citizens' Home of Calvià) began between December 2020 and April 2021 the hiring of 106 jobs, during a period of 4 months.

This contracting has been framed within the Reactiva 2020 Programme, the initiative launched by the SOIB that is implemented in collaboration with local corporations, and is configured as an active policy to promote employment.

The SOIB Reactiva programme is co-financed with funds from the ESF (European Social Fund), within the framework of the Operational Programmes for Youth and Regional Employment from 2014 to 2020; with funds from the State through the Sectorial Conference on Employment and Labour Affairs; with funds to promote sustainable tourism through the Commission for the Promotion of Sustainable Tourism, and with a contribution from Calvià Town Hall of 269.294,96 €.

Calvià had a financing of 1.006.064,84 € that has allowed to hire 106 people in two hiring shifts of 4 months each.

Three contracting lines

The programme has consisted of two shifts and contemplating three different hiring lines, mostly for people registered in Calvià:

Line 1: Aimed at 28 unemployed young people under 30 years of age registered in the national Youth Guarantee system. The job offers aimed at this group have encompassed both profiles that require higher education (Higher Level training cycles or University Studies) and professional profiles, such as cleaning, kitchen or office personnel.

Line 2: Aimed at 26 long-term unemployed people, over 30 years old, registered as unemployed in the SOIB for at least 12 of the last 18 months. In this case, jobs related to the maintenance of buildings and urban facilities have been offered.

Line 3: Aimed at 52 unemployed people, over 30 years old, registered for a minimum of 3 months as unemployed in the SOIB or with a shorter duration in the case of people on ERTE (temporary lay-offs). This line has been aimed, amongst others, at administrative profiles, building maintenance personnel, geriatric assistants and cleaning personnel.
